Only white to be tansparent - hendrikbez - 01-23-2021

Good day

I have 0-9 numbers, how can i only let the white part be transparent, I cannot get it to be transparent, I only get the whole image transparent.

I might do it like this: https://i.imgur.com/3gXzEXU.mp4 1 minute animation.

Add an alpha channel
Use the fuzzy select with a high-ish threshold ( ~ 80) to select the white area and lose the drop shadow. Hold the shift key down to add to the selection .
Cut the selection.
Restore the drop shadow. (put a temporary white layer under so you can see the effect)

Export as a png to keep the transparency.
