24H2 update and gimp

Ever since the  win 11 24h2 update gimp 2.10.38 freezes the computer after I use the Foreground Select. I can make the selection and do Enter but when I click Select on the FG popup the computer freezes. The few times it hasn't frozen when I click Select it actually unselects.
Is it the update or what else could be going on?

You should report this to the Gimp developers here https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gimp/-/issues

Try and give as much information as possible. I see one or two recent reports on Windows Gimp 2.10 freezing when using various tools.
