ALPHA BACKGROUND

The attached PNG is an all black image with a disk of opaque pixels (in other words, what you see is just defined by the alpha channel. What happens when you copy/paste it? And can you be more explicit to what you paste (how to you copy/cut), and what is the target (image editor, mode/type of image (RGB, indexed...))?
