"Allow resizing" missing in Drop Shadow dialog

I'm fairly new to GIMP and have version 2.10.10. When trying to add a drop shadow to an image there is no check box for "Allow resizing" like it used to have on previous versions and as shown in the help file. Any idea what I'm doing wrong?

Nothing wrong, the "new" drop shadow is a bit different. You should have the Drop shadow (legacy) filter next to it in the menu, this is the old filter that works like in 2.8.

Thanks that worked. Why would they remove that setting? Seems pretty important if you are adding a shadow to whole image.
