Is there a Mac OS version of this script? Or something similar?
I'm using the drop shadow method for outlining which is ok, but would like to try this method.

This is a Python plug-in so the very same code works on all platforms provided your Gimp has Python support (check if you have Filters > Python-fu > Console (note: Filters > Script-fu > Console is a different thing, you should have both)).
