Border une sélection

Bonjour,
Sur la version 2.10 de GIMP j'avais l'habitude d'utiliser une bordure autour d'une sélection et de lui appliquer une couleur avec le pinceau.
Depuis hier ce n'est plus possible !
Quelqu'un peut-il m'aider ?

Since you are using MacOS, is this the current problem that the selection marker - the marching ants does not show ?
The selection is still there, just not marked. This occurs with the latest MacOS BigSur update from Apple.

As a check, make a simple selection and even if not showing
Check that Edit -> Stroke Selection is set up like this:
and has   valid brush / brush size / brush spacing / foreground colour (beware of using an 'empty' clipboard brush)
