Brush error - Gimp2.10 (MAC)
#1
Hello,

I've been struggling with this for a while and i can't find any relevant threads/forums addressing a similar issue.

Every time i want to create a custom brush, I get an error

"New Brush Message

Error while executing script-fu-paste-as-brush:

Error: Procedure execution of file-gbr-save failed: Running procedure 'file-gbr-save-internal' failed: execution error"

I use a macbook air.

Could someone help me? Thanks so much.

Warm Regards

I have no experience with mac/osx, but you could start by verifying if gimp has permission to save the custom brush: ensure you have at least one "writable" folder (brush folders are listed in Edit > Preferences... Folders > Brushes.

I can replicate that error.
Might be more than just permissions. There might not be a user brushes folder. I do have an old-ish Mac virtual machine I can try Gimp out on.  Noticed that many folders are missing.

Hi!
This is exactly what I needed, I'm new to Mac as well, so I will try to go ahead and create a brushes folder.
Thank you SO much for going through the effort of replicating the error. Appreciate it! Smile
