Fill tool not fully filling
#1
Hi. I'm attaching an image of what happens after I fuzzy select a selection and then fill that with the foreground color. I have fill settings to 100% opacity. Any idea why it would not only not be opaque, but it's leaving a blur outside of the selection. Thank you.

Probably a feathered selection (check the Feather edges option in the Selection tool). Contrary to popular belief, the ants are not the limit between some selection and no selection at all, but between less that half-selected and more than half selected.

It will not be the bucket fill tool.   Go back and check the fuzzy select tool settings and turn off any "feather" settings.

Yes it was the fuzzy select tool as you both suggested. I unticked feathered edges to stop the blur and also used the dropdown to select either HSV Hue or LCH Hue to fully cover the area. Thank you both!
