I think probably this site and gimp-chat.net are associated. So I tried to make an account on there yesterday. Ostensibly I succeeded and posted something on there. But when I went back there today there I just got a "this account isn't verified" message without any options to do anything about it. The message also said to "contact an admin" but there was no such option anywhere on the site. The post I'd made had been inexplicably removed also. Without further knowledge I assume that website is just broken and not fit for use. Does anyone have any further ideas about how to fix that though?

Can't answer for GimpChat. No association even if many members in common. GC's sole owner and admin (Omega) is rarely seen.

yes an idea, when you registered, gimpchat should have sent an email to the email you provided while opening your account
The "this account isn't verified" it's certainly because you did not open your email and click on the link (to confirm your email) gimpchat sent to your email (you might look in the "junk" folder of your email as well, might have gone there also.
