Create a sprite with cell shading or cartoon effect

Hi,


I'm working on 2D game, and I want to create sprite with cell shading effect or cartoony.

I will use this asset : https://youtu.be/m-WZkOWW_VM

How can I paint my sprite to look as in the asset ?

I'm a beginner with Gimp.[

I for one am not going to pay 6 Euro to see what the effect is.

Please post a viewable link to the required effect. Many many ways to 'cartoonise' an image.

The link I posted is only for showing what art style I'm looking for. I want to create sprite with a similar rendering.

I changed the link to my first post too.

As I'm newbie on Gimp, I don't now where to begin and how to paint this kind of rendering I'm looking for.

I'm aware that will take me some time to learn how to do it.

So, if anyone can help me out, it will be great.

I just want to highlight that my problem is not drawing.

My issue is situated at level of painting : which color , filter, effect and so one to add to get colors as in the video I posted.

...but to me it looks like artwork rather than filter created effects. However hopefully somebody will come up with suggestions.  There are a few things to consider, a limited palette for example.

I already know which sprite I will use, but I have no idea how to paint them to get same looking.
