Pathing tool

Say I make 5 separate shapes with the pathing tool, is there an easy way to clear 4 of them without having to ctrl+shift+click on each node making up the 4 shapes I don't want?

• Make a selection (lasso, rectangle) around the strokes and call the "delete strokes" function
  
• Use the "Break path apart" to make one path per shape/stroke and delete those you don't want
