Fill bucket tool gives fuzzy edges

What the title says. What is going wrong here (I have attached a link and image). All I want is the fill the circle selection and GIMP isn't doing that. Is it GIMP acting up or is there some hidden option that is buried under the seventh level of hell? /s

PS: It does the same thing when I select Fill Whole Selection.

I see nothing special. The circle is filled with the foreground colour (as checked on the left)

My best guess.  Your selection is made with "Feather edges" enabled - Turn it off

Or turn the selection into a path and fill the path
