Just curious, why is this in 32 bit? I think internally GEGL is 16 float. I am no expert, but I wonder why 32.
Internally, GEGL is 32-bit ("float" type of Intel processors). 16-bit FP (aka half-precision) is a recent invention used to store imagery (native type in some 3D video cards) and has no native support in the X86 processors.
