Gimp 2 - gimp 3 filters?
#1
Hello, I just updated gimp from gimp 2.xx to gimp 3. In gimp 2 I had added filters, now in gimp 3 they are not there, how do I put the filters I added from gimp 2 to gimp 2?
Thank you.

Thank you.

Basically, most will not work. See Ofnuts post

Since you are using Windows, you can install and run both Gimp 2.10 and Gimp 3.0 Edit: Which plugins do you use most? Many have equivalents in the gmic_gimp_qt plugin which has a Windows Gimp 3.0 version.

Thanks for your response...

I use enhance : Heal selection is one of the most I use that is no longer there. Yes I can use both versions; but not at the same time (unless I'm missing something)

The equivalent in the gmic_gimp_qt plugin http://www.gmic.eu is one of the inpaint filters. An explanation of use here: https://patdavid.net/2014/02/getting-aro...ware-fill/

I have to confess I do prefer heal-selection / resynth version.

You can run both if you open one version, then start the other using the -n switch (for new instance)

This an example Win 10 with the shortcut modified and Gimp 3 / Gimp 2.10
