Gimp 3.02 (flatpak) and 3.03(src and distro versions) Linux
#1
I'm wondering if anyone else is having trouble with using the select tools.

I was working on an image and using the rectangle select tool and after making a rough selection I went to adjust the position in tool window.

However in selecting the x position or the width in number boxes one of two things happen either it simply refuses to change the number and it just stays selected, or it changes the zoom on the image instead of adjusting the position of the selection.  It happens with a roughly 50-50 split between doing nothing or zooming in and out.

Note the + and - buttons work as expected.  As well there is no problem changing the y origin or the height of the image.

This happens for me with 3.02 and 3.03.  The image below is an animated gif of the problem clicking on it should demonstrate the problem.

After playing with this a bit more it seems double clicking inside the position box to select the number does not give the box focus, and thus entering any of 1 to 5 sets the zoom level to the level associated with that number.

No such problem for me (3.03 home-compiled on Kubuntu 24.04 + X11). I can even use the mouse wheel to increment/decrement the values.

I even tried in windows and still get the same behavior, every time I double click in the position to select the number it just doesn't work.  I ended up reporting it as a bug, and it got marked as a duplicate of another bug.

Issue

If you look at the linked issues for the issue above  it seems this bug affects quite a few of the tool windows.
