Does that mean you have lost it sometime and cannot find a download source?  It comes from the defunct gimp-registry site

There is an archive here: https://github.com/pixlsus/registry.gimp....org/files

and to save any mix-up leon-paper-white_0.scm is attached.  I think that is the one you want.

Un-zip it Put it in your scripts folder ~/.config/GIMP/2.10/scripts/ Registers in the Filters Menu under Leon

I have tried it and it certainly does something.

A more modern alternative is the gimp_gmic_qt plugin http://www.gmic.eu Hundreds of filters in a single plugin but the one to use is Repair -> Repair Scanned Document

Attached Files
.zip   leon-paper-white.zip (Size: 1.05 KB / Downloads: 60)

No i have not lost it, i have
leon-paper-white_0.scm
and
leon-paper-white.scm
in /home/trevor/.config/GIMP/2.10/scripts
in Gimp -->Filters/Leon/ both files are shown greyed out, and of course do not work...
After fix or not fix, i will try your "more modern alternative"
Thank you "rich2005" for your prompt reply.

I wish you gave all the info first time round.

There is a good chance that the image is indexed. Sometimes a PDF will come from a 'fax' type tiff file .

Check the top of Gimp and if it says indexed then Image -> Mode -> RGB

If greyscale then the script brings up an error message (at least that is what happens here)

edit: What to look for.
