I'm using GIMP 2.8.22 on Mint Linux 19. I have downloaded and unzipped ofn-text-along-path.py and have copied it to /home/barry/.gimp-2.8/plug-ins/
I cannot for the life of me figure out how to find it in GIMP. I think I've looked everywhere, so assume that I've missed some critical step in installing the plug in. It does show up in the Plug-in browser as python-fu-ofn-text-along-path.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Barry

Right-click in the Paths toolbox, and at the bottom you'll see Tools |Text Along Path
