Green stroke problem

Hello,

I have a problem with removing background via "magic Wand/Fuzzy tool"

I choose with tool green background (pic. 1). 
On the pic. 2 you can see selected and deleted green background, after this I was export image to png.
Now you can see the problem on the pic. 3, One px. stroke is still green,
Anybody have a solution for this problem?

Guys, I tried it again on an old PC with an old gimp and I did not have this problem. I do not have time to complicate my work, the solution is many, but I need it to work the same way as in the old days

We are ready to help, but show us the file you load in Gimp so that we can try ourselves. What I see otherwise is that both old and new have terribly pixellated edges and I doubt that Blender is the culprit. If you use screenshots, then the old PC may not have the same screen definition as the new and this may be the start of an explanation.

Sorry for my rudeness, I was import my pictures into the GIMP via printscreen, for now i way try It download some pictures from google with green background, and I was crop it like my pictures, but result is the same.

BTW: "terribly pixellated edges" its OK, its images for low resolution industry monitor (HMI)

We don't want screenshot, we want the plain image... Perhaps do a printscreen, paste in Gimp, and export immediately as PNG, without altering it in any way. Without this we could as well be discussing the sex of pixels.

It was be done in my google folder like a test.png

You can eliminate (or maybe reduce) the green fringe by adjusting the threshold on the Fuzzy Select tool.

But then you are destroying the anti-aliasing pixels. The method described by Ofnuts is much better.
