How to make pressed text effect

I love this effect and want to use it for a logo on my photos but this tutorial is so poorly done I can't follow. Is there a better one somewhere? Thanks.

I agree it is poorly done. I just skipped to the end to see the final result.

Top is what you want
The bottom is fairly easily created with a bump map. Not exactly the same but good for a starter.

You can use a bump map for the edges, and sandwich a drop shadow to give more depth than with a bump map alone:

That's a great effect but I don't know how to apply that to an image. I need to learn this bump map stuff a little deeper. Any good tutorials? Thanks.
