Install Resynthesizer
#1
Hello!
I had Resynthesizer, but it started showing errors, so I uninstalled it. I had installed it through the Zorin app store, but after uninstalling it, it no longer appears there. How can I install the plugin?
I use Linux Zorin and Gimp 3.0.6
Thanks

I know Zorin is based on Ubuntu - but not sure which version

Try the attached. Unzip and put the 4 folders in your Gimp 3 plugins folder    ~/.config/GIMP/3.0/plug-ins/

It is the one I compiled for myself - kubuntu 24.04 / Gimp 3

Attached Files
.zip   resynth-linux-deb.zip (Size: 88.55 KB / Downloads: 3)

Hello!
It even installs, but it doesn't work. I also tried another method, installing it through the terminal, but the same thing happens with each method: the plugin installs, but it doesn't work.
I saw a user on another forum with the same problem.

Displays the following messages.
Plug-in 'Heal Selection...' left image undo in inconsistent state, closing open undo groups
Erro ao executar 'Heal Selection...':
Error: eval: unbound variable: plug-in-resynthesizer

Well, worth a try. Not working ? - just delete the four folders.

Just a guess, but is your Gimp 3 a flatpak or a snap ? Maybe ask on a Zorin forum

Hello

I installed gimp through flatpak

Yeah, not my favourite installation for Gimp.  I just had a look around but not much info on Zorin and its ubuntu base.  Just says ubuntu LTS - which could be 22.04 or 24.04

If you  are willing to try an appimage download the one from here:

Again not much lost if it does not work.

I've already tried a bunch of things.

I uninstalled Gimo and reinstalled it, uninstalled the plugin and reinstalled it from outside, but none of them work. However, I think the problem must be with Zorin, because I tested it on Linux Mint and it worked there. A week ago, it worked on Zorin, so I'm thinking it was a recent update.

I discovered something that I found quite strange. It's not working when I use the lasso tool to select, even after closing the lasso. I used the ellipses and even the vector tools to select, and they worked correctly.

Has your lasso tool the feathering option on?
If so - disable it.
