Internal shadow
#1
Hello, sorry if my english is not very good but I'll try.

I can't find any tuto for GIMP to introduce an internal shadow on a picture with frame, see image.
Many thanks for any result.

(1) Do you have a picture and you want to add a frame ? then

You can use this script to add a frame  FU_edges_mats-and-frames-210.scm Get the attached file, unzip and put the file in your Gimp user profile
C:\Users\"yourname"\AppData\Roaming\GIMP\2.10\scripts

That has options for adding both a frame and a shadow: -  example  https://i.imgur.com/YDFaRo4.jpg  experiment with the options.

(2) or  the image already has a frame.

One layer, image with frame
Duplicate the layer.
Cut out the picture leaving the frame.
Use Filters -> Light and Shadow -> Drop Shadow on the frame layer: - example https://i.imgur.com/GkWXQei.jpg  experiment with the values

Thank you rich2005. I tried both examples.

a frame and a shadow : this use a Script-Fu and i didn't found how to manage with the tuto I found

I did use Filters - light and shadow - Drop schadow, and it works very well.

I am very glad to receive this solution and I wish you a nice day.
