The program opens fine, but after I load in a project (any project I have tried several older ones) everything stops and the cursor just turns into an endlessly spinning ball. I attempted a screenshot, but the moment I do so the cursor goes away. Is anyone else running into this? Or is it just me? Gimp is a major workhorse for what I do and I would not want to lose it.
Hi! Did you update to 2.10.36 or 2.99.16? Since you posted here I'm assuming 2.99.16, in which case you should switch to the stable 2.10.36 version (https://www.gimp.org/downloads). If you're on 2.10.36, you might try the development version (https://www.gimp.org/downloads/devel/).
Let us know which one you're on and we can try to diagnosis.
