Week ago i was updating libre office to latest version and windows 10. After since those GIMP keep crashing on startup, thought it was the photogimp doing but it wasnt. GIMP works fine through ‑‑no‑fonts
im using GIMP 2.10.38.0, i dont know if i should blame libre office or windows 10 update. pls help.
I would try to find out where the fonts files are, and if any were added by checking their creation date(*). Then disable them all (move/rename) all, see if Gimp starts, and if so put them back one by one until Gimp crashes again.
(*) on windows file systems, files have a "creation" date, which is when the file appeared in the file system, so it should be recent. By contrast the "modification" date (which is the one usually displayed), indicates the age of the contents, so a file you install can have a rather old modification date (last change by the publisher) but will have a recent creation date (when you installed).
Hi rich and ofnuts, thanks for the help but i already fix the problem. Turn outs i have to add PATHCONFIG_PATH and PATCHCONFIG_FILE to system environment variables with value : C:\Windows\Fonts.
now im curious.. did latest libre update did something to my system enviroment variables?
