Looking for a tool for editorial design
#1
Hi! Does anybody know about an open software specialized for editorial design? I know about Inkscape but I think that it's more equivalent to sofwares like CorelDraw or Illustrator, I would like to know if there's an equivanet for something more like InDesign.

Thanks for reading my question!

I do not think there is any exact equivalent.   For DTP there is Scribus, https://www.scribus.net/ It is frame based and rarely used alone, graphics from Gimp or Inkscape. Text , entered directly or from one of the common document formats also LaTeX for specialised work.

If it is just a cover page with Graphics then you have already come across Inkscape.

Edit: I should note that if you require a PDF for anything, then Scribus makes good documents.
