?? No benefit of a faster CPU

I try to run a Filter (Distorts -> Newsprint) on two different CPUs

1. participant: Intel Core i5-4670K @ 3.40GHz, 4 Cores
2. participant: Intel Core i5-3320M @ 2.60GHz, 2 Cores

I was amazed that there was almost no difference in how fast the CPUs ran through the filters ??
