I'm glad to be using GIMP portable 299 with satisfaction; for which I thank you.
I wanted to know if you also plan to make the version for the 2.10.
Thank you

No, not from me (but there are alternatives)
1) I am still using (k)ubuntu 16.04 and the ready-made source from the 'buntu ppa is not there. AFAIK the maintainer said not possible.
2) There is a Gimp 2.10.x flatpak from gimp.org that works, although several plugins are an issue, since the flatpak is 'sandboxed'
3) There are a series of appimages from https://github.com/aferrero2707/gimp-appimage/releases/
However, the maintainer is now using a Centos base, the appimages do work but do not expect any additional compiled plugins to work. Scripts and Python should be ok.
Thank you, Rich. I was wondering because I use xenialpip64 in frugal installation and so it is useful to keep some sw on a pen to avoid taking space on xenialpup. So I'll settle for the 299 gimp that you did beautifully.
thanks again Sonia
