How to rotate back to horizontal
#1
I rotated an image by mistake a few degrees. Then I did some coloring etc on it that I dont want to undo. Now I want to rotate it back so that it is aligned horizontal again. How? I tried image>transform>rotate but couldnt do it. All I want to do is to bring it back to its original horizontal alignment

If you haven't got any extra layers - your image is all merged or flattened ie 1 layer you should be able rotate it back In the tool options it asks for which way you want it or go to the top menu under tools>transform tools and rotate and you can rotate as much or little as you like.

To rotate an image that references a horizontal or vertical line in your image (e.g. horizon), then the 'Measure Tool' is perfect for the job.

By mistake ? How did you do that ? If you saved or exported then you have lost any undo data and you have lost parts of the image outside the canvas area.

For the future, you can rotate the view using shift-space when painting. Made for artists. Then return to horizontal View -> Flip&Rotate -> Reset (or use the ! key) It can take a little practice,

A quick animation, first using the measure tool, then rotating the view https://i.imgur.com/q2nZVzV.mp4
