Some questions about brushes
#1
SO…I have some questions about brushes, first one is, if I alter a brush type and size can I save those settings so that I  I don't have to readjust a brush again to get those settings? And if I can where would I find that brush should I want to use it again. Also, is there a way to pick out a few favorite brushes to make a set out that I can dock, so I don't have to go through all of the brushes to find them every time. Thank you for any help.

As well as setting a preset, you can tag a brush (and other resources) see: https://docs.gimp.org/en/gimp-tagging.html  Default brushes already have their tags set.

...but an easy way is put a set of brushes inside a new  folder, with that folder in the User brushes folder.  New folder can be any (sensible) name you like, descriptive is good.
Here there is:
(1) The new folder containing your brushes.
(2) Click on that little arrow top of the brushes dock
(3) That brings up a list of the tag names. Choose the one(s) you want. You can set more than one
(4) The tagged brushes displayed.
You can get everything back by selecting and clearing the tag name.
