Text along curve

Hello, I am looking for an option to make text follow a curve but the letters temselves remain vertical, and i'm not sure how to do tis so any halp would be appriciated. Kind of similar to the smirnoff bottle logo.

For a label, try ofn-bend-path.

Make a pair of curved paths - the envelope
Size the text up to fit length, the Layer -> Text to Path
In the Paths dock choose the text path
Apply the plugin. It is one of those right click in the path dock or use the Gimp search tool.

Also:
Write your text then  Filters > Distorts > Curve bend

   

Then Filters > Light and Shadow > Drop shadow on the layer text
