GIMP thumbnails and preview in mac OS
#1
Hello, I am using Sonoma 14.5 and in Finder all XCF files are just "Gimp-doggie" pics - no thumbnails of real content, no preview when spacebar pressed.
How to tune that to work?
Thx a lot

I'm using the Thunar file manager on Debian Trixie and only standard image files like JPG's and PNG's get thumbnails. XCF's get a generic thumbnail like yours.
I don't expect my file manager to decode XCF's because it's just a file manager  Smile

I don't recall how I did it for my kids on MX Linux but they see xcf thumbnail (although not on the directly on the Desktop/ but on the directory Desktop/ via Thunar ) Big Grin

For the MATE DE on Ubuntu, long ago... like long ago, that I don't really recal I did something with gthumb, but I can't recall
anyway I see thumbnails of xcf psd, webp, etc...
