I have a new laptop, installed Windows 11 with the Media Creation tool, and installed Gimp 3.0 with the binary from the website @ https://download.gimp.org/gimp/v3.0/wind...etup-1.exe
I have a *local* user - no Windows Live accounts - and it has administrative privileges. When using the installation wizard, I had it install for all users.
When trying to launch either gimp.exe or within Explorer, right clicking image, Open With, Gimp the ps shows up as a background ps in Task Manager. Gimp never launches.
However, if I launch gimp.exe as administrator (through Explorer) it does start - note it takes a LOT longer than expected, at least 3-5 minutes. Everything else on the laptop is fast (decent cpu, nvme drive, 32GB memory, etc on a Thinkpad T15).
