Is there any method to use the recently released dev version GIMP 2.99.12 in Ubuntu 22.04?
Something like an AppImage? Thanks.

Nothing as convenient as an appimage. You could try a flatpak installation.
see: https://www.gimp.org/downloads/devel/ This using a Mint21 (equivalent to ubuntu22) Ubuntu is into snap packages, not sure if there is a Gimp 2.99.12 but for a flatpak Code: flatpak install --user https://flathub.org/beta-repo/appstream/org.gimp.GIMP.flatpakref ...and follow the prompts Checking the installation and starting Gimp Must be the ugliest interface ever, I do not know what planet the developers are on.

Thanks. I am pretty much sure that my Ubuntu does not support Flatpack. I think I need to add it somehow.
