Using Intuos One Pen brings up 'GEGL Operation' - how to fix?

Hi all,

I bought an Intuos One pen and tablet, which I'm trying to use on GIMP 2.1

The device is configured and working, but every time I try to use it with GIMP, I get a 'GEGL Operation' window.

Any ideas how I can use it to actually draw something?
