group layer and line width
#1
can i change the line widths in all the layers within a group layer?

for example, if i select a group layer and then select pencil and change the pencil width, will all the lines within the group layer change?
if not what do i do so that i can change all the lines in a set of layers?

thank you

There are no "smart objects" in Gimp. Your lines are just a bunch of pixels, and Gimp won't tell the difference with a photo of a flower. If you want to change the width of the lines to have to redraw them. If the lines have been created with a Path, it can be a matter of stroking the path with a different width.

Scaling works for all linked layers. You would think scaling up all layers would increase all line widths Smile After scaling larger you can use the crop tool to reduce the size of the layer group back to it's original size.

Another method. If you have G'MIC-Qt installed so it is used by Gimp you can use Artistic > Graphic boost to increase line widths and then 'apply to all layers'. This means you don't need to pack layers.
