The Gimp built in color profile is essentially the same as sRGB IEC61966-2.1.icc do not worry about it.
I would check the layer modes above that working layer.
While Gimp can open a PS .psd file that format is propriety and not open. An element of guesswork is involved in back-engineering the Gimp psd plugin. PS functions such as adjustment and effects layers are not implemented, you get a guess.

A PS effects layer mode Linear Dodge (Add) becomes Addition mode in Gimp. Is it exactly the same ? I do not know.
