With due respect, it is not easy to follow your posts.

For this one. Please zip and post the damversio6.py plugin to see what it does.

For any gimp version: Use Edit -> Preferences Go down to the Folders section, then to Patterns and it shows there the path where Gimp expects the .pat files.

Ihav sveral *.xcf files
both after activation behave differently, e.g. to get the checkerbord patten, one works, the other doet nothong


May only one help needed:   I have from 2016 PC several  *.pat files for e.g. a white Dam-piece (and for black too)
Where should they be avalable
... AppData/Roaming/Gimp/2.10   ???? and now where to upload the *.pat files???

(edit Dam-piece. Is that draughts pieces ? )

As earlier post find the location of the folder in Edit -> Preferences. (1)

If you are using Windows Explorer then you might need to enable "hidden items" (2)
