On ubuntu 24.04 I installed the following version of gimp:
*** 2.10.38-0build4~ubuntu2404 500
https://ppa.launchpadcontent.net/ubuntuh...imp/ubuntu noble/main amd64
...not too sure about that as a source.
It come from a PPA https://launchpad.net/~ubuntuhandbook1/+...buntu/gimp and it is the version I have installed in (k)ubuntu 24.04

and made it executable with chmod +x command

I downloaded gimp-stable-diffusion-horde.py
and paste it in plug-in folder as said.
unfortunately no AI button appear in the menu
can anyone please help me to solve this problem?
The problem is missing library files, libcrypto.so.1.1 libssl.so.1.1 in the appimage. I can unpack the appimage, add the files and that "AI" shows in the menu and works (same as below)
An easier way for you might be a different appimage, still 2.10.38, much larger (240 MB) contains all the required files. (and more)
https://github.com/ivan-hc/GIMP-appimage...4.AppImage
Using a slightly earlier version of that, runs off a usb drive, the AI plugin is there but apparently not enough kudos
Edit: Another try with less arduous parameters and amazingly it works.
