Guides at point x,y - right mouse button.

Hello Gimpers!

What I would like is to be able to position the mouse pointer over a certain coordinate on the screen, click the right mouse button, then a menu would open and I could select the option to create a vertical and a horizontal guide at that exact point.


For example, with the Color Picker Tool (  )selected, when hovering over a desired point, I could click on that point and create an intersection between a horizontal and a vertical guide there.

I know it's possible to drag guides and position them manually. But I would like to speed up this step.

I have great plugins for positioning guides, but none meet my need.
   

Is this possible with Gimp?
Is there already a plugin/script that performs this function?

You can use the measure tool to place horizontal / vertical / both at the cursor.

Takes a little practice The co-ordinates show in the Gimp info area at the bottom.  Helps if you zoom in. This from a recent post.

Gimp can add a pair of guides at a point using the measure tool. Ctrl-Alt and a click-and-click again adds the guides. The bottom right corner.

Ehhhh,
I will have to practice a lot. 
So far without success. 

I even change tools without problem with shift+M, but keeping the mouse in place and how to apply shift+alt... (Ahh it's CTRL+ALT).   

Okay, now using the correct shortcut, ctrl+alt, but I need some practice! At the last moment the mouse moves and I end up creating the guides out of place. (With the laptop then it will be a comedy). 

At least now there's an option, I just need to training.
