Hello everyone. I would like to know if anyone knows a way to save the undo history (for now, I still have to write down the steps of my work in a notebook).

There are some Windows apps you might try. "QText" and "Stickies" give sticky-note notepad-like options and can be set to stay on top of the GIMP workspace.
A screenshot app called "Greenshot" can region-select the Undo menu items. Windows Power Tools has a text extraction function which copies the otherwise uncopyable GIMP screen text as regular text which can then be pasted where needed. As from above: [ Base Image I Add Layer Add Layer ... etc ...

Thanks a lot ! I'll look into the solutions you recommend. I'm already taking screenshots on Windows; but it's quite tedious when, like me, you use numerous filters with sometimes very complex (and not at all standard) settings. Greenshot seems interesting to me, especially for the notes it allows you to add to screenshots. |
