Wacom Tablet Not showing in Input Devices - gaspuch62 - 07-05-2018 I'm currently using GIMP 2.10.2 on Windows 10 Pro with a Wacom Bamboo CTL-470. I downloaded the latest driver from the website, it was a legacy device. I can use the tablet to manipulate the mouse cursor and the wacom preferences (limiting to one monitor, or pen mode vs tablet mode) do work. When I try to use it in Gimp, I get no pressure opacity, or any dynamics, and the buttons don't do what they're supposed to do. When I look at the Configure input devices menu all I see is the Core Pointer. If there's a thread for this specific issue, link me to it. RE: Wacom Tablet Not showing in Input Devices - Espermaschine - 07-06-2018 As far as i know pressure sensitivity is broken. source: https://www.gimp.org/docs/userfaq.html#my-graphic-tablet-doesnt-work-on-windowsmac-does-gimp-support-advanced-input-devices-such-as-wacom RE: Wacom Tablet Not showing in Input Devices - artmdogan - 07-12-2018 I have the same problem, I have wacom ctl4100, if I don't use the graphic tablet before I open the program, it won't show the input devices. The input configuration the wacom drivers appears when I use the pen before I start gimp. Possible Fix: I changed the tablet's driver in the "Update Driver" area*; to "Device" from "Digitizer" it showed up in GIMP. *in Windows Devices -> right click the Tablet -> Properties -> Hardware Tab -> select "HID compliant device" of the tablet -> Properties -> in General, click 'Change Settings' -> Driver -> Update Driver -> Browse Computer -> Let me Pick from List: HID-compliant Device. (I forget if GIMP was running or not when I did this.) Windows 10 - GIMP 2.10.10 - Wacom Bamboo CTL-470 RE: Wacom Tablet Not showing in Input Devices - EdoNork - 06-06-2021 I solve mi Intuos3 not showing in GIMP simply by touching the tablet with the stylus BEFORE opening GIMP. It looks like the tablet is sleeping and need to wake up. RE: Wacom Tablet Not showing in Input Devices - sorryO - 10-01-2023 Thanks guys. Using the tablet before opening GIMP solved the issue for me. RE: Wacom Tablet Not showing in Input Devices - patrwe - 10-03-2023 Hi I have the same problem with Wacom Tablet Not showing in Input Devices, but my situation is a bit different: GIMP did detect Wacom in Input Devices but recently I installed a new SSD for more storage space on my laptop. Then I start transfering files and folders over to the new drive from the main OS drive to free up space for the OS. I am not that good with tech stuff, just some average computer wizardry from Youtube and I think i did something wrong. After transfering, the 1st thing I noticed was that my brush preferences was gone. It seem that when i cut and paste gimp onto the new drive all of the files that rely on the old pathing to that folder I moved was messed up, that was an easy fix for me i just updated the path to the new folder location of where I store all my downloaded custom brushes. But for devices I have no idea how to fix that. Im using Window 11, Gimp version 2.10.34 |
