I've forgot how to cut a face and merge onto another person - kenny1999 - 12-06-2019 I did this years ago, but I've forgot now cutting the face of one person and merging it onto another one. I remember that there was a plugin or something to handle the edge Would anyone tell me?? RE: I've forgot how to cut a face and merge onto another person - denzjos - 12-06-2019 Look at an earlier post on this subject : https://www.gimp-forum.net/Thread-How-to-combine-one-face-to-another-face RE: I've forgot how to cut a face and merge onto another person - rich2005 - 12-06-2019 yeah, forgot about that Using the gmic plugin http://www.gmic.eu using the Blend (Seamless) filter. Works like: https://i.imgur.com/m64pD7G.jpg 1. Make and copy selection of replacement 2. Paste as new layer over existing. 3. Make any adjustments - size / position / orientation. https://i.imgur.com/sL40wEP.jpg 4. Apply the Gmic filter with 'outer fading' 5. Gives this but do not expect wonders, all depends on the original images. I've just downloaded the Windows installer from the site you suggested and set it up. What to do next? Do I need to make any config in GIMP ? I am not able to find out where to do with your step 4 ---- Apply the Gmic filter... Where it is?? Hi rich2005. I've tried. But it does not work at all. It gives a total black color of the selected section after applying the filter. Nothing close to what I need. It must be some problem behind RE: I've forgot how to cut a face and merge onto another person - rich2005 - 12-07-2019 (12-07-2019, 07:43 AM)kenny1999 Wrote: Hi rich2005. I've tried. Gmic input has various options. You are on active layer(default) that gives the black image. Change it to Active and Below as this https://i.imgur.com/qtIEFWF.jpg RE: I've forgot how to cut a face and merge onto another person - kenny1999 - 12-07-2019 (12-07-2019, 09:31 AM)rich2005 Wrote:(12-07-2019, 07:43 AM)kenny1999 Wrote: Hi rich2005. I've just tried. It works. But the result is not satisfactory. I remember that 3 years ago I did this, probably with another plugin, it was awesome but I've really forgot what it is and unable to find out from my older entries. Would you recommend a few of other plugins for me to see if I will remember which one I used?? RE: I've forgot how to cut a face and merge onto another person - rich2005 - 12-07-2019 Probably this one: http://chiselapp.com/user/saulgoode/repository/script-fu/wiki?name=sg-fit-face But an old script. Some info there but the links have gone. I remember from meet-the-gimp postings I will try and that archive. RE: I've forgot how to cut a face and merge onto another person - kenny1999 - 12-07-2019 [attachment=3549][attachment=3550]Hello Rich2005 Maybe you can try it out. I am doing this two picture with your suggested plugin earlier I am merging the face of picture 1 to the picture 2.jpg It just... how to say... the result is quite strange...maybe you can test it out. I am doing this for fun and joke and I don't mind the face being known to be merged, but the plugin looks like ..making it like it's not manipulated and I cannot recognize the face of the original person in the result RE: I've forgot how to cut a face and merge onto another person - rich2005 - 12-07-2019 Something like this: [attachment=3553] The usual comment, all depends on the images. Very different in shading and orientation is a problem but here you stand as good a chance with gmic as anything. This a quick demo, spend a bit more time and get a better result. 1. A bit of preparation if required - sizing - cropping - a bit of erase. 2. Into the target image, move and generally fit in place 3. Apply gmic and adjusr parameters. 4. If needed a bit of clone tool on any obvious edges A 3 minute demo of the above. https://youtu.be/G-1jL8JhStQ Spend a little more time on it, get a better result RE: I've forgot how to cut a face and merge onto another person - meetdilip - 12-07-2019 Hi, looks interesting. I want to try too. How do I install Gmic on 18.04 ? Thanks. |
