Nobody mentioned the use of layer groups to separate various stages of editing.

Can be different modes and do not have to be visible. As mentioned earlier, new-from-visible is good for stage points.

Very true ofnuts I know this as well that it needs to be executable I know this from having to run scripts. But I  wasn't sure if there was extra permissions I had to add for it to work or to make it more secure but still usable. I guess I'll just look at what the scripts permissions are in the folder and just copy theirs.

What does high pass do in filters-enhance-high pass? Yes I know this isn't the high pass filter location you mentioned this is a different filter. Its pretty neat for black and white photos.
