Note: this seems to be a change in 2.10, the path from a selection runs in the opposite direction.

This bug is considered "evil" by the devs nad its status has been upgraded to "blocker" so it will likely be fixed in the next 2.10 update.,
Edit: Just noticed that 2.10.2 was out this weekend, but seems that one doesn't fix that bug.
