RE: ofn-gradient-along-path - A440Hz - 11-11-2022 Hi, Ofnuts. I've just been lurking here in the forum for a bit and see you all over the place with helpful replies. I have downloaded your plugins from SourceForge and installed them in the plugins folder shown in Edit->Preferences->Folders->Plug-ins. However, I can't see the changes to the menus that your HTML docs show. Background info: I'm running GIMP 2.10 on Ubuntu Linux 22.04.1 LTS. I downloaded your scripts from SourceForge today. I installed the *.py scripts/plug-ins in ~/.config/GIMP/2.10/plug-ins/. I chmod'd them to allow them to be executed. I have restarted GIMP several times, but still don't see the Decorate option when right-clicking on a path (for ofn-gradient-along-path). Any help you can provide would really be, um, helpful. Thanks! RE: ofn-gradient-along-path - rich2005 - 11-11-2022 I am sure Ofnuts will be along soon, in the meantime; Gimp 2.10 python plug-ins require a gimp-python (as in python2) package which might not be available. For Ubuntu 22.04 there are different Gimp installation options (1) From the repo Gimp 2.10.30, no python2 (2) The flatpak Gimp 2.10.32 which contains its own python2 A good installation to use. Ofnuts plugins work but it is 'sandboxed' which can cause issues with other applications such as Darktable or RawTherapee. (3) The Gimp 2.10 'snap' version from Ubuntu. AFAIK no python support. Start up Gimp and in the Filters menu look for the Python-Fu entry. Not There ? Then no python and no python plugins. If you have (1) it can be added with a small Appimage launcher. This is my kubuntu 22.04 First without the launcher then with python2. https://i.imgur.com/fWY3ezt.mp4 If you want to go that route some links here https://www.gimp-forum.net/Thread-Python2-Gimp-AppImages-for-Ubuntu-Jammy-and-Focal?pid=29963#pid29963# https://github.com/TasMania17/Gimp-Appimages-Made-From-Debs/releases/tag/Gimp-Python2-AppImage-Launchers-for-Linux RE: ofn-gradient-along-path - A440Hz - 11-11-2022 (11-11-2022, 09:16 PM)rich2005 Wrote: I am sure Ofnuts will be along soon, in the meantime; Really good stuff, rich! I shouldn't have just assumed that Ofnuts was the only person who could address this. No, I do not have the python-fu menu option, so I will have to dig into some of these resources to figure stuff out. I use Python often (Jupyter notebooks, etc.) but I'm generally using 3.6 or later. Thanks again! And wow, two minutes later after downloading and using that AppImage, I'm in business! Thanks again!
