Painting in a legacy layer mode on top of a paintstroke does nothing for me.
Neither does it change, nor does it paint.

Its probably best to report this as a bug and see what the devs say.

I mean painting with the paint tool in "Legacy" mode on the very same layer...

Okay, so it's unfortunately a feature. Is there also a similar explanation for why Smudge now acts identical to the Air Brush?

And in extension, I ended up going going to 2.8, but I'd prefer to have 2.6 back because pen sensitivity. However, it's not offered for download anymore, is there a safe alternative?
