That looks ok to me. You did not say what format the original was. However and for what it is worth, One way (nothing set in stone) of re-constructing the logo. https://youtu.be/7EMzLvMgLPE duration four min 30 seconds.
You could also consider making the logo as a vector using a program such as Inkscape.
