I will try it and will come back in case of further questions. RE: project smaller image into a bigger one - Lucky - 09-01-2022 Thank you, rich! Unfortunately my GIMP desktop looks very different compired to yours. In addition I am not able to mark the logo of the image. You can take a look at the attached video for more details: https://imgur.com/OU9fzGi I can share my desktop for you, using team viewer, skype or similar sharing program. Thank you in advance for your response! RE: project smaller image into a bigger one - rich2005 - 09-01-2022 Going for the cropping method. You are almost there, this is the frame from your video where you apply the crop. That was ok, but nothing to crop. [attachment=8602] You are on the wrong layer 'für klein und groß' You need to be on the 'Visible' layer. Gimp has various indicators showing boundaries etc. Look for a yellow dotted layer boundary. [attachment=8603] RE: project smaller image into a bigger one - Lucky - 09-01-2022 Understood, thank you for this! I have put the logo and the text in different layers in order to be able to resize them independently. How to rescale the logo layer/image in order to center it into the width of the image (background) RE: project smaller image into a bigger one - rich2005 - 09-02-2022 (09-01-2022, 09:15 PM)Lucky Wrote: Understood, thank you for this! If you are using a path as in the ealier posts, then you should scale / move the path to the required position. Then on a new layer fill the path Edit -> Fill Path If you want to use what you already have, then use Layer -> Scale Layer and the Move tool. One of your problems is you do not have the layers dock open. Forget the channels until required. ---- Back to removing those saved pixels in the alpha channel. This method might be a little easier for you. Make a new transparent layer. Layer -> New Layer Move the new layer to under the layer labeled 'Visible' You can click-drag in the layers dock or there are little up / down arrows bottom of the dock or use the menu Layer -> Stack -> Lower (raise) Layer Select the layer labeled 'Visible' and merge down into the new layer Layer -> Merge Down Another 30 second example https://i.imgur.com/OjWwgca.mp4 RE: project smaller image into a bigger one - Lucky - 09-03-2022 (08-31-2022, 08:00 PM)rich2005 Wrote: For the 'visible' layer Thank you, Rich!
