I am the opposite of Ofnuts, prefer to take screenshot(s) (screengrab) then edit and annotate using Gimp.All sorts of ways, you just develop your own preferred workflow.

How many times do you find yourself wondering why Gimp is stuck while clicking on the screenshot?

err...none...I might be getting old and absent minded but not that.
I use a small utility screengrab that dumps screenshots in a numbered order - then I edit using Gimp.
