RE: GimpChat out? - trandoductin - 01-28-2017 So exactly how are these guests getting to the site? some black magic going on? RE: GimpChat out? - david - 01-28-2017 @Ofnuts, You tell me that if I put two IP's only the first is used. For my education, what happens if the first server is not available - will it ignore the second IP? As I said previously, I am a complete novice when it comes to these things! david. It is more likely one server with two IP addresses (possibly some networking redundancy in the data center). name resolution through your /etc/hosts file isn't dynamic, it gives you one address and that's all. If the server at that address doesn't work, nothing will make it consider the other address. RE: GimpChat out? - dinasset - 01-28-2017 ...nevertheless to me happened that after adding the second address I was able to access Gimp chat. Strange animals the servers... RE: GimpChat out? - Kimba - 01-28-2017 I have done all the recommended steps but the server is still not found. RE: GimpChat out? - Ofnuts - 01-28-2017 Can you ping it? In command prompt: "ping gimpchat.com" (do you et "unknown host" or is it listing an IP address? RE: GimpChat out? - Kimba - 01-29-2017 Command prompt? Is that the same as the Terminal? RE: GimpChat out? - sallyanne - 01-29-2017 I still get "server not found" |
