Different lighting and contrast Gimp/MsPaint - quand - 01-28-2018 Hi Guys I meet an issue I've never seen before a picture does not display same lighting, contrast and saturation when loaded with MsPaint as with The Gimp. picure settings are the same on thumnbnails as in The Gimp with MSPaint: the gimp : RE: Different lighting and contrast Gimp/MsPaint - rich2005 - 01-28-2018 Check your colour management settings: Edit -> Preferences -> Colour management as: https://i.imgur.com/NGiuHqH.jpg Best guess, M$Paint is not colour managed Edit: just seen the added image(s) both look the same on my browser, guessing the browser is not colour managed either. Some good articles here: https://www.cambridgeincolour.com/color-management-printing.htm and some simple adjustments that can be made: https://www.cambridgeincolour.com/tutorials/monitor-calibration.htm Of course if you send off to a commercial printer then it becomes a bit more tricky.
